Cookie Policy
Every cookie this site sets, what it does, and how to control it. Last updated 26 April 2026.
This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on signalline.io. It complements our Privacy Policy.
How we approach cookies
We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR). Non-essential cookies and tracking technologies are set only after you give consent through our cookie banner. Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site to remember your choices and do not require consent.
Analytics tracking on this site is gated server-side: until you accept the analytics category in the cookie banner, no analytics request is made and no IP address is logged.
The chat widget does not set cookies on this site. When you first open it, you will see an in-chat disclosure explaining that messages are processed by a US-based AI sub-processor under UK Standard Contractual Clauses. Your choice to continue is remembered for the current browser session only (using session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab).
Cookies set by this site
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Party |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent_seen | Strictly necessary | Records that you have made a choice in our cookie banner so we do not show it again on every visit. | 12 months | First-party |
| cookie_consent_analytics | Strictly necessary | Stores your decision (accepted / rejected) for the analytics category. Read by our middleware before any analytics request is made. | 12 months | First-party |
Third-party services
When you start a chat, your messages are processed by a US-based AI sub-processor under signed UK Standard Contractual Clauses. The chat service does not set cookies on this site — it communicates over our API only and your continue/cancel choice is held in session storage for the current tab.
We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, Hotjar, or any third-party advertising tracker on this site.
Changing your choices
You can change your cookie choices at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer, or by clearing your browser cookies for this site — the banner will then reappear on your next visit.
Browser controls
Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies, delete existing cookies, or warn you before a cookie is set. The Information Commissioner’s Office maintains guidance at ico.org.uk/your-data-matters/online/cookies.
